Amish furniture
Amish furniture has its own style and is made by the Amish
primarily in Indiana and Ohio. It is known for its material –
it is made of 100% wood with no particle border laminate. The Amish
are known to pay great attention to detail even to the grain of wood
in the furniture making process.
Although Amish furniture was originally very stark and plain, it is
now being designed for modern tastes. Modern dining room furniture can
have self-closing glides as well as glass. In addition, you can find
colors and dark stains like espresso or black paint.
There are many different styles in Amish furniture. The most ornamental
is the Queen Anne style. Other styles include Southwestern, Rustic,
Cottage, Beachfront, Mission, and Shaker. The Mission and Shaker styles
are very similar.
