Why should I buy an Amish quilt?
Amish quilts are increasingly admired by people with a modern aesthetic because of the stitching forms that contrast so well with the plain backgrounds. Also, because this is a handcrafted item it is not only pragmatic, but can be viewed as an investment. If you take care of your quilt it can be passed down as a family heirloom for generations.
Do I need any special equipment to care for my quilt?

If you want to display your quilt you can purchase an Amish quilt shelf or quilt clamps and hang the beautiful quilt without damaging it. How do I clean my Amish quilts?
If you are lucky enough to find antique quilt at an estate sale bring it to an appraiser to see how valuable it is and if it needs to be professionally cleaned. New quilts are much easier to care for. They are usually 100% cotton or a cotton polyester blend which makes them machine washable. You should wash your quilt using the gentle cycle with mild detergent in cold water to prevent shrinkage. If your quilt has dark colors, make sure to use a dry cleaner to prevent the colors from bleeding.
